Committee on Preparation for Ministry
Members:
6
members: One of whom is elected from among the committee
members to serve as moderator. The committee may add co-opted
members when the number of inquirers and candidates dictate. In
accordance with the Book of Order G-9.0501b, at least one half
the members shall be laypersons.
Co-opted
members would be for specific liaison responsibilities when the
number of Inquirers and Candidates do not allow two committee
members to be without liaison responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
In
consultation with the Mission
Visioning Council, this committee will seek to support the Presbytery's
vision by:

Fulfilling responsibilities as listed in the Book of Order G-14.0301
-G-14.0514e.

Planning and conducting annual consultations for inquirers and
candidates in a retreat setting.

Recruiting people to consider the Pastoral Ministry as a career.
